Holly Fox was born and raised in Kingston,Ontario in a family of 8 children. She married her husband, Doug in 1983, had 2 sons and moved to Napanee, Ont., in 1992. She is a licensed hairdresser, although not currently practicing that profession. Other than hairdressing, Holly is self-taught in all her other interests, which include many forms of art, gardening, photography and decorating. After spending many years painting ceramics, she decided to branch out to other types of painting, including oil, acrylic and watercolor. Even a little bit of pastel for good measure. Favorite so far? Oils! Next was a forray into playing with wire. Instant infatuation. Wire is wonderful. Holly started with freeform wall art and then a bit of sculpture. Jewelery was next, combining wire and bead and stone. Wire-weaving and wrapping have become a favorite, combined with free-form swirls and curls. Number one priority now is creating unique pieces for Frayed Around The Edges, the store she co-owns with business partner Ingrid Tiffe.
