Frayed Around The Edges sells the work of local and independent artists within a 100 mile radius of Napanee.
This is in order to encourage our credo of Buy Local. This is a very select group as the work must meet with both
of our approval and we need to have a relationship of sorts with each artist. We would like to be able to pass along
knowledge of you and your creations.
Frayed Around The Edges provides a place to sell your creations, we will do our best to display and promote your items
beautifully. Please look over our contract to insure you agree with our terms.
Interested artists should refer to these guidelines:
- Send an email to:

with the following information:
- Your contact information. Please include name, full address and email address.
- Photographs of your work in JPEG format, a reasonable size please.
- Detailed description of your work including size and colours.
- An estimate (range) of your retail price.
- A little bit about yourself e.g. ‘Why do you create what you do?’
- Do not stop into the store unannounced with sample of your work. Your time is valuable and so is ours. We need time to look over potential
merchandise and we do not accept on the spot. There are many things to consider when making decisions about new product – Do these items fit
into our general aesthetic, do we have space to display your creations in the best manner, are these items seasonally appropriate, do we feel
they are affordably priced? etc. If we feel that we must see your creations in person, we will contact you and an appointment will be made.
- Sometimes we may take a while to get back to you. This will largely depend on what is scheduled in our lives and the stores.
We keep potential artists on file, we will refer to it. Just because you may not get an immediate reply does not mean we have forgotten about you or your work.
