I'm Afraid it's Almost Halloween!

If you love Halloween, I have a treat to show you.  

I found this cute fabric fifty per-cent off.  

Well, what's a good witch supposed to do?

It is just howling with cuteness.  

So I had to make some mug rugs quick so my ghoul-friends could have some. 

I put black on the back and quilted them with some variegated thread.  

I may have been a bit overzealous in my meandering stitch on this one. 

 I guess this will be the one I keep.

I had fun outlining the pieces of candy and I think the back looks ok.  

I need the free motion quilting practice.  

 I don't have any tricks for doing these hand-hemmed bindings any faster.  I've tried sewing them on the machine before and mine looked scary.

 I liked this project because I wasn't stressed that I would make a huge mistake.  

There is only room for small mistakes on a mug rug.  Ha Ha! 

Happily, these are in the mail to my ghoul-friends. 

  Now I am ready for some witches brew for that big old mug.
